Small batch

Thrown, poured and stitched by hand

Every mug comes off a single potter's wheel in our Asheville studio. Small-batch runs mean when something sells out, it's actually gone until the next kiln load.

A note from the bench

We keep the workshop small on purpose. One kiln, two benches, and a rule that nothing leaves until it would be good enough for our own table.

New this season

Fresh off the bench, in the quantities we could actually make.

Why our things cost what they cost

Hand work is slow work. A mug takes four days from wheel to wrapping, most of which is drying and firing. We would rather charge honestly for that than thin the clay.
